Dispatch & Traffic Coordinators
Non-exempt position
Traffic & Dispatch Coordinators are crucial to Overdrive Logistics. This position is a full-time position and requires someone with strong people skills and ability to multi-task, a critical thinker that understands the importance of maintaining communication and is proactive in the processes. A Traffic & Dispatch Coordinator is the first line of communication with drivers as they relay our customer’s expectations and requirements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicating with carrier sales reps and trucking company dispatchers to obtain necessary driver information in order to fully dispatch customer’s loads
- Calling drivers for full dispatch and obtain location updates from cradle to grave
- Updating McLeod LMS with arrival/ departure times, comments and logging all communications
- Helping drivers/dispatchers with potential problems and current issues.
- Working in a team environment to ensure customers loads are picked up and delivered safety in a timely manner
- Communicating with the management team and providing feedback for improvements on processes and performance
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree preferred but not required
- Two years minimum experience in customer service
- Minimum 40 wpm typing ability
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Able to sit and focus for extended periods of time
- Logistics experience preferred by not required
